We’re Taking A Short Break…

It’s been a pretty busy year here at Naked Kitchens. We’ve created so many beautiful kitchens for our customers, doubled the size of our showroom, took on projects we could only dream about and designed kitchens that completely broke the boundaries of traditional kitchen design.

Winter Perfect

It’s safe to say that we’re already feeling the cold here in England. With the temperatures now in the single figures and the snow sign popping up on the dashboard, we’re craving coming home to a warm cosy house, and there’s one room in particular that we know we’re probably going to spend more time in than any other- the kitchen.

The kitchen is the heart of the home and during winter this is the time that we want it to feel the most cosy and inviting it possibly can be. Whether this is a complete renovation before the cold weather hits, or just an update in time for Christmas, we have some tips to making your kitchen perfect for winter.

Colour- Whilst instinctively we turn to the darker colours during the colder months, darker colours are not the only option for making your kitchen winter perfect. We actually love brighter, bold colours during the winter months too, and we’ve actually recently created so many kitchens of this type. Having a more colourful kitchen is a brilliant way to brighten up your home. By having a room that is fresh and exciting, it really makes you want to come home.

Living Coral

Somehow that time of year has come round again quicker than we can actually blink, and Pantone have released their colour of the year again! Last year we saw the incredibly bright Ultra Violet be crowned the winner, and whilst potentially not as popular as we anticipated, we definitely have seen rooms that have been inspired by this colour palette. Purple is such a luxurious colour that can be very intense, so it has to be used in the right way otherwise it can be very overpowering.

Why Green is Great In The Kitchen

Green is a colour that has been used in interiors for such a long time now. However, it’s only quite recently that we’re starting to see this translated into kitchen decor. From intense dark forest greens to the softest mint green colour, green is back in the kitchen, and in a big way.

2019 Interior Trends

5 interior trends you need to know about for 2019

With the New Year just around the corner, many of us are beginning to think about what to do with
our interiors for 2019. When the Christmas decorations come down, our homes can look a little bare
— so if you’re considering a revamp, January is the perfect time to incorporate some of the latest
styles. From metallic details and geometric patterns, to natural stone finishes and this year’s must-
have colour, we’ve got all the details on the looks that are set to be big in 2019.

Story Telling
People are increasingly wanting to know the story behind their furniture, as well as the materials
and craftsmanship that go into each piece. Whether it’s an authentic Carrara marble worktop, or a
unique antique accessory, features with an unusual origin are great conversation pieces that never
go out of style. And in 2019, we can expect to see a similar trend for furniture, too.
It’s no longer enough to simply have stylish furnishings — you should know exactly how and where
they were built, too. So, if you’re looking to update your living room suite, make sure you buy from a
retailer that crafts their own furniture to order. Sofas by Saxon build all of their sofas and chairs
using quality materials, including responsibly-sourced, FSC-certified European hardwood, and can
tailor any detail to suit your requirements. Go for a couch in a Chesterfield jewel-toned velvet shade
for a look which is right on-trend.
Not an unusual origin, but certainly one to be proud of; Naked Kitchen is a British manufacturer that designs, creates and manufactures everything on one site in North Norfolk. FSC-certified European birch ply is used for all of the kitchen carcasses that has been sustainably-sourced. Available in so many different designs, a Naked Kitchen is incredibly versatile and are sure to be able to design your dream kitchen.
