We’re Feeling Blue

We go through stages of loving different colours for the kitchen, and whilst some colours tend to come in and out of fashion very quickly, there are some colours that will stick around from season to season.

2019 Interior Trends

5 interior trends you need to know about for 2019

With the New Year just around the corner, many of us are beginning to think about what to do with
our interiors for 2019. When the Christmas decorations come down, our homes can look a little bare
— so if you’re considering a revamp, January is the perfect time to incorporate some of the latest
styles. From metallic details and geometric patterns, to natural stone finishes and this year’s must-
have colour, we’ve got all the details on the looks that are set to be big in 2019.

Story Telling
People are increasingly wanting to know the story behind their furniture, as well as the materials
and craftsmanship that go into each piece. Whether it’s an authentic Carrara marble worktop, or a
unique antique accessory, features with an unusual origin are great conversation pieces that never
go out of style. And in 2019, we can expect to see a similar trend for furniture, too.
It’s no longer enough to simply have stylish furnishings — you should know exactly how and where
they were built, too. So, if you’re looking to update your living room suite, make sure you buy from a
retailer that crafts their own furniture to order. Sofas by Saxon build all of their sofas and chairs
using quality materials, including responsibly-sourced, FSC-certified European hardwood, and can
tailor any detail to suit your requirements. Go for a couch in a Chesterfield jewel-toned velvet shade
for a look which is right on-trend.
Not an unusual origin, but certainly one to be proud of; Naked Kitchen is a British manufacturer that designs, creates and manufactures everything on one site in North Norfolk. FSC-certified European birch ply is used for all of the kitchen carcasses that has been sustainably-sourced. Available in so many different designs, a Naked Kitchen is incredibly versatile and are sure to be able to design your dream kitchen.

Birdie Photoshoot Take Two

If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you may know that at the beginning of the year, we provided our showroom to local interiors business Birdie Fortescue as a venue for their spring summer collection photoshoot.

Recently we got in contact again with Birdie, as we knew they needed a location to shoot their autumn/winter campaign, and we’ve just installed some absolutely fabulous new kitchens into our showroom that we thought would be the perfect backdrop!

With our incredible bespoke copper splashback as the backdrop for pink and teal pierced votives, these items are able to take centre stage whilst complimenting the matching colours that have been produced from the hand ageing process.

Our beautiful island with bespoke end grain worktop was the perfect surface for Birdies new collection of linens. Beautiful purple colours combine incredibly with the pink colour of the island. A unique island that has innovative built-in technology, as well as bespoke storage. The copper handles on the island provide an eye catching statement that complements the linens beautifully.

The exclusive artwork that you can find at Birdie’s shops look so incredible against our oak wall, amongst the other beautiful pieces from their latest collection. The matte black Lapitec worktop provides a beautiful contrast against the light, pastel collection making everything stand out even more.

We would love for you to check out Birdie’s products, as we know how beautiful they look in our showroom kitchens, and we know they would look even more beautiful in your own homes!

What Is A Bespoke Kitchen?

What is a Bespoke Kitchen?
Re-designing a space can be difficult enough without having the added worry of cost, function, and depreciation. But unlike picking the wrong colour sofa cushions or curtains that clash with the wallpaper, a kitchen is a little harder to change once you’ve committed!
Purchasing a new kitchen for your home is a very big decision, and nobody wants to be left with a kitchen they don’t truly love every part of. At Naked Kitchens this won’t happen, as we will always go the extra step to ensure you love every single detail of your design before the material has even been cut!
A bespoke kitchen is one that is entirely unique to each and every client. There is no standard sizing, and whilst we have kitchen designs that can be followed for inspiration, we can create completely unique designs for every customer. We use the finest natural resources to produce beautiful, sturdy and timeless kitchen cabinetry. With the choice of any fascia colour or exposed natural timber to complement all tastes, we guarantee pure kitchen love.
