Beautiful gray kitchen ideas
When it comes to kitchens, there's nothing dull about gray—and it's so much more than a neutral. Kitchens with cabinets painted in modern gray colors can look stunningly stylish and contemporary, or they can give your space a timeless and traditional feel. Grays pair brilliantly with whites, blues, and blacks—or you can use a gray instead of a white as the base color for a scheme.
Modern gray kitchens
Light gray kitchen cabinets are ideal for sleek, modern kitchens and for minimalist designs inspired by Scandinavian or Japanese aesthetics. The Camberwell kitchen uses a pale gray—our Baked Cley paint—as an alternative to white as the main color for the cabinet doors and drawers.
Gray and white kitchens
Where the Camberwell combines pale gray and white for a minimalist look, the Chester Row kitchen is a very different beast. It uses our custom In the Mud gray—a deep, rich color—in the island, as a contrast to the Seal Pup White of the floor-to-ceiling Shaker cabinets.
Gray Shaker kitchen cabinets
The Norfolk Vicarage kitchen is a sensational kitchen. The traditional Shaker doors are painted in our mid-gray Shingle color, but the kitchen is full of contemporary touches and surprises. The deep overhang of the island makes it a perfect space for entertaining. There's a custom 'cocktail corner' with a sink and eye-level glass cabinets, an aged backsplash that reflects natural light from the garden, and a spacious smoothie-making area.
Gray and blue kitchens
The Raynham kitchen is a great example of how effective gray and blue can be when used together. Shaker cabinets in our Flint gray color hug the walls in an L-shape, so the overall feel is light and calm. The island is in a contrasting blue—our custom Night Sky. Here the gray is used as the base color for the kitchen, with the blue providing the accent color.
