Life is all about detail. Red or Magenta, bar wig, bench wig or full bottomed wig? We've taken one or two liberties, if you'll pardon the pun, with our friends' courtly attire, as any real barrister or judge will notice. And that's ignoring the gavel from our American cousins. In fact, both the dynamic duo who so kindly lent us their robes asked us if we were auctioning something off...

Built for an Honorable Life is not just how we might imagine a kitchen would be in chambers perhaps, or tucked in behind The Old Bailey, nipping off for a quick coffee and a sandwich in between verbal volleys. It's also about the very fundamental essence of the right way to do things, being accountable for our actions and holding ourselves to a higher standard. We also love the detail, the ritual, the subtle differences with which, until now, we were simply unfamiliar.

Old scrolls, leather backed volumes, embossed certificates and an overwhelming sense of decorum and steadfastness mixed in with good old dressing up were the starting point for our take on an Honorable Life. But the real take out is the intrinsic power of detail. Those tiny elements that define a look. Between a barrister and a judge, how, when, and where they are sitting. All wear wigs and robes, yet each subtle difference defines the wearer and their place.

And so it is with a Naked Kitchen. There are so many tiny details that make up a bespoke kitchen that combine to just make it look different. Our kitchens have a certain look, and, like a Judge's robes and wig, the effect is far greater than a simple sum of the parts. It's not quick, and it's not easy, but it's in that detail where we truly discover our passion for design. Design, detail and honorable, it's all part of the secret sauce which is 'Built for Life'.
