Beautiful grey kitchen ideas

When it comes to kitchens, there's nothing dull about grey - and it's so much more than a neutral. Kitchens with cabinets painted in modern grey colours can look stunningly stylish and contemporary, or they can give your space a timeless and traditional feel. Greys pair brilliantly with whites, blues and blacks - or you can use a grey instead of a white as the base colour for a scheme.

Modern grey kitchens

Light grey kitchen cabinets are ideal for sleek, modern kitchens, and for minimalist designs inspired by Scandinavian or Japanese aesthetics. The Camberwell kitchen uses a pale grey - our Baked Cley paint - as an alternative to a white as the main colour for the cabinet doors and drawers.

Grey and white kitchens

Where the Camberwell combines pale grey and white for a minimalist look, the Chester Row kitchen is a very different beast. It uses our bespoke In the Mud grey - a deep, rich colour - in the island, as a contrast to the Seal Pup White of the floor-to-ceiling Shaker cabinets.

Grey Shaker kitchen cabinets

The Norfolk Vicarage kitchen is a sensational kitchen. The traditional Shaker doors are painted in our mid-grey Shingle colour, but the kitchen is full of contemporary touches and surprises. The deep overhang of the island makes it a perfect space for entertaining. There's a bespoke 'cocktail corner' with a sink and eye-level glass cabinets, an aged splashback that reflects natural light from the garden and a spacious smoothie-making area.

Grey and blue kitchens

The Raynham kitchen is a great example of how effective grey and blue can be when used together. Shaker cabinets in our Flint grey colour hug the walls in an L-shape, so the overall feel is light and calm. The island is in a contrasting blue - our bespoke Night Sky. Here the grey is used as the base colour for the kitchen, with the blue providing the accent colour.

Our own palette of Naked Colours greys are inspired by the North Norfolk geology and landscape, with Baked Cley, Flint and Shingle colours - and even by our location on a former wartime RAF base in the form of our Runway grey-blue.

Questions & Answers

1

Do you fit?

We are just as happy to fit, or simply supply the kitchen for your contractors to take it from there. Many of our clients are undergoing wider renovation projects, so using the contractor or a local carpenter or fitter can often be the most cost-effective option.

We are now also offering a fitting service in Greater London and the surrounding area, so please enquire with your designer as part of your design consultation and we'd be happy to help!

2

Do you come on site to measure?

A final site measure is all part of the fitting service, but if you would like us to come and do a final measure if your contractors are fitting, that's no problem. Depending on the complexity of the space and the travel distance from either London or Norfolk, the site measure starts from £250. All we ask is that your room is ready for us!

3

Where can I see one of your kitchens?

We'd love for you to visit us at either our London showrooms at Bloomsbury or Chelsea or our head office in Norfolk .

4

Do you supply appliances?

Absolutely. We work directly with lots of fantastic partners, such as Neff, Miele, Bora, Gaggenau, Siemens & Quooker, among many others. Find out more on our appliances page
