Sleek lines, strong whites and minimalist layouts… That's how we tend to think of modern kitchen design - and there are plenty of stunning kitchens that precisely fit that description. But there's also a lot more to 'modern', including beautiful kitchens that put a contemporary twist on a traditional style. Here are some ideas…
The Glaven kitchen is a classic minimalist kitchen, with a strong mid-century modern Scandi influence. The combination of white cabinets with the handleless J-Groove doors in light-coloured, brushed limed-grain oak gives the space a calm, serene feel.
Modern Shakers don't always have to be in-frame. Both frameless and in-frame doors and drawers, Shaker cabinets typically give a kitchen a traditional, hand-crafted feel. But pair them with modern conveniences and style choices, like in our [New Brighton] kitchen and they can take on a contemporary character.
The Cranbrook kitchen makes use of a bold black and white contrast, but the natural oak finishes of the cabinets and shelving mean that the design feels very modern yet not cold or clinical. The black pendant lights introduce an industrial vibe, while touches like the rug and pot plants soften the look.
A sleek modern look is a great way to open up space in a smaller kitchen. The handleless Ladbroke doors of the Kew Penthouse kitchen are painted in our Beach Hut blue - and the effect is a stunning, light, airy space - cleverly designed around the window to make the most of the natural daylight.

We are just as happy to fit, or simply supply the kitchen for your contractors to take it from there. Many of our clients are undergoing wider renovation projects, so using the contractor or a local carpenter or fitter can often be the most cost-effective option.
We are now also offering a fitting service in Greater London and the surrounding area, so please enquire with your designer as part of your design consultation and we'd be happy to help!
A final site measure is all part of the fitting service, but if you would like us to come and do a final measure if your contractors are fitting, that's no problem. Depending on the complexity of the space and the travel distance from either London or Norfolk, the site measure starts from £250. All we ask is that your room is ready for us!
We'd love for you to visit us at one of our showrooms.
Absolutely. We work directly with lots of fantastic partners, such as Neff, Miele, Bora, Gaggenau, Siemens & Quooker, among many others. Find out more on our appliances page
