Beautiful black kitchen ideas

A black-themed kitchen can look stunningly beautiful – think of a floor-to-ceiling larder in a rich, deep black, finished with brass handles. Or sleek, modern black cabinets or black marble worktops. Black works brilliantly with a sharp white for contrast or a natural wood colour for a softer feel. In fact, black goes with virtually anything…

Modern black kitchens

Naked Kitchens' Oyster Catcher paint is a true, deep black. In the Ryburgh kitchen, Oyster Catcher V-groove cabinet doors are paired with floor-to-ceiling Oak Black Core cabinets. Black walls, black handles and black chalkboard splashback complete the stunning contemporary look.

Black and white kitchens

The Howard Place kitchen combines cabinets and drawers in Oyster Catcher black with mounted cabinets and an island in our Holkham Frost white. The classic black and white contrast has a dramatic, modernist effect. The white surfaces reflect daylight from the oversized windows, so the strong black elements don't affect the sense of light and space.

Black Shaker kitchen cabinets

With their in-frame doors and drawers, Shaker cabinets give a kitchen a traditional, hand-crafted look. But paint them a deep, rich black– as in our Oyster Catcher kitchen – and they feel very contemporary. Add brass detailing and natural honey-coloured timber worktops and the kitchen has a distinctly luxurious feel.

Black and natural wood kitchens

With the Cranbrook kitchen the client wanted the space to feel modern but not too clinical. The combination of the black island and larder with the natural oak finishes of the Scandi-style cabinets and shelves makes for the perfect balance.

Our Oyster Catcher is a true, deep black, named for the beautiful plumage of the seabirds that live on the local North Norfolk coast…

Questions & Answers

1

Do you fit?

We are just as happy to fit, or simply supply the kitchen for your contractors to take it from there. Many of our clients are undergoing wider renovation projects, so using the contractor or a local carpenter or fitter can often be the most cost-effective option.

We are now also offering a fitting service in Greater London and the surrounding area, so please enquire with your designer as part of your design consultation and we'd be happy to help!

2

Do you come on site to measure?

A final site measure is all part of the fitting service, but if you would like us to come and do a final measure if your contractors are fitting, that's no problem. Depending on the complexity of the space and the travel distance from either London or Norfolk, the site measure starts from £250. All we ask is that your room is ready for us!

3

Where can I see one of your kitchens?

We'd love for you to visit us at either our London Showroom or our Norfolk Showroom .

4

Do you supply appliances?

Absolutely. We work directly with lots of fantastic partners, such as Neff, Miele, Bora, Gaggenau, Siemens & Quooker, among many others. Find out more on our appliances page
