Burnham Green, Marsh Green, Sharrington Red and warm oak – Madingley is a colourful kitchen with curves and character.

Madingley has all the bones of a classic kitchen: framed Shaker doors, real craft, a beautiful range cooker, and a sense of permanence. But as well as traditional elements it has a bit of a twinkle: enough colour and personality to keep things interesting.

The door style is a framed Shaker with a custom curved internal panel, giving the cabinetry a softer, more distinctive look. It still feels timeless, but with a little more movement and charm than a straight-up square panel. Alongside this, V-groove doors with bar handles and J-groove drawers on the island add variety without making the scheme feel busy.

The cabinetry combines Burnham Green and Marsh Green for a rich, layered feel, with Sharrington Red springing a surprise: a bold note of warmth where you least expect it.

1 / 2
At the heart of the cooking area is a Lacanche Macon range cooker in stainless steel and brass, framed by the mantel above and flanked by useful worktop space. The Perrin & Rowe pot filler adds one of those pleasing touches that feels both luxurious and very sensible. A Westin Bloque Slim extractor is neatly integrated above, doing the practical work without spoiling the view.

Madingley is full of thoughtful contrasts: classic and modern, painted and timber, calm greens and rich red, elegant details and serious functionality. A kitchen with heritage charm but also a lot of practical thought… and just the right amount of mischief, too.
