We're Feeling Blue

We go through stages of loving different colours for the kitchen, and whilst some colours tend to come in and out of fashion very quickly, there are some colours that will stick around from season to season. We wanted to show our appreciation to a colour that we know will always look good in a kitchen. Blue is a colour that will never go out of fashion for kitchens, and at the moment it's definitely taking the colour crown!

KBB Retail and Design Awards 2019

We've had a lot of exciting projects happen here at Naked Kitchens, and one that seems to have gained a lot of attention recently is the Highgate Kitchen. An absolutely incredible design, made from beautiful stained walnut with some insane bespoke details. A brand new handle design which is sleek and contemporary, and an island design that simply knocks all other islands out of the water! With walnut legs, an integrated gas hob and a beautiful marble counter top, this island is one of the standout elements of this modern earthy kitchen.

Five Kitchen Trends in 2019

2018 has been a year of many different trends for interiors. We've seen colours dramatically change direction, different textures come into play and timber really taking the centre stage in kitchens, and a lot of these trends are likely to continue into 2019. We think there are a lot of new trends that will emerge in 2019 and we can't wait to see them! Year of the Honey- 2018 saw Dulux announce their colour of the year as Spiced Honey. Although slightly slow on the uptake this year, we do think that 2019 will be the year that we see this colour everywhere. Beautifully warm and comforting, this neutral colour is the perfect canvas for a kitchen. We also think that combining this colour with a brighter pop of colour, like Pantone's Living Coral (colour of the year 2019) will create the most wonderful combination.

Winter Perfect

It's safe to say that we're already feeling the cold here in England. With the temperatures now in the single figures and the snow sign popping up on the dashboard, we're craving coming home to a warm cosy house, and there's one room in particular that we know we're probably going to spend more time in than any other- the kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of the home and during winter this is the time that we want it to feel the most cosy and inviting it possibly can be. Whether this is a complete renovation before the cold weather hits, or just an update in time for Christmas, we have some tips to making your kitchen perfect for winter. Colour- Whilst instinctively we turn to the darker colours during the colder months, darker colours are not the only option for making your kitchen winter perfect. We actually love brighter, bold colours during the winter months too, and we've actually recently created so many kitchens of this type. Having a more colourful kitchen is a brilliant way to brighten up your home. By having a room that is fresh and exciting, it really makes you want to come home.

Living Coral

Somehow that time of year has come round again quicker than we can actually blink, and Pantone have released their colour of the year again! Last year we saw the incredibly bright Ultra Violet be crowned the winner, and whilst potentially not as popular as we anticipated, we definitely have seen rooms that have been inspired by this colour palette. Purple is such a luxurious colour that can be very intense, so it has to be used in the right way otherwise it can be very overpowering.

Why Green is Great In The Kitchen

Green is a colour that has been used in interiors for such a long time now. However, it's only quite recently that we're starting to see this translated into kitchen decor. From intense dark forest greens to the softest mint green colour, green is back in the kitchen, and in a big way.
